In 1827, the Marnier family founded a fruit liqueur distillery near Paris. In 1880, Louis Alexandre, the third generation of the family, created the famous Grand Marnier by blending vintage French cognac with the essence of wild tropical oranges. Grand Marnier is blended from the finest old Cognacs by master winemakers and aged in French oak casks for at least 5 years. All the tropical oranges are from the Caribbean and picked by hand, before the orange peel is sun-dried. Careful blending and quality ingredients together create the perfect Grand Marnier.
